If you can access the full article then you can find your generational immunity based on what flu version went around when you were a kid

Excerpt https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/science.aag1322 Lifelong protection against severe influenza The first influenza attack that a child suffers can affect the way that their lifelong immunity to the virus builds up. A wide range of influenza A virus subtypes infect humans. Subtype H5 belongs to HA group 1 (which also includes H1 and H2 subtypes), and subtype H7 belongs to HA group 2 (which also includes the H3 subtype). Gostic et al. found that birth-year cohorts that experienced first infections with seasonal H3 subtype viruses were less susceptible to the potentially fatal avian influenza H7N9 virus (see the Perspective by Viboud and Epstein). Conversely, older individuals who were exposed to H1 or H2 subtype viruses as youngsters were less susceptible to avian H5N1-bearing viruses. A mathematical model of the protective effect of this imprinting could potentially prove useful to predict the age distribution and severity of future pandemics.

Because (((they))) put it there.

Then it was put there on purpose. How do viruses not get destroyed during pasturization?

[–] 6 pts

One article said only the pasteurized milk is safe, the raw milk can contain virus. Kind of shoehorns with the FDA going after the Amish and Mennonites selling raw milk in past years to set up a future milk psy-op.

Absolutely. I just bought "Amish milk" the other day in the store. Full fat with all the creamy milk fat at the top. Best glass of milk I've had in decades.

I haven't had raw cows milk in 50+ years. I did get a quart of raw goats milk about 10 years ago to try, but I like cows milk better.

Do you work for dailymail?

[–] 2 pts

Nope. I'm a retired Mainer living in the sticks. Most White state in the Union. State motto is "Maine, The Way Life Should Be".

[–] 1 pt

Just talking about Maine and where to move.

Coastal is beautiful, expensive and loaded with libs. Inland lakes and ponds are much better, until a wave of tourists from lib states hit before Memorial weekend, summer vacations, through foliage season. I often go further north to my camp in the Western Mountains of Maine to escape that rat race.

What are the insects like in the summer?

[–] 2 pts

Springtime thru about August blackflies and mosquitoes especially after a wet spring or summer rains. Deerflies and mooseflies on hot summer days. Late August is usually virtually bug free, I used to take my vacations in late August.

Deep Woods Off or Old Woodsman's Fly Dope (if you don't mind the smell) usually keeps the bugs away.
