Rather amazing. The mass of these beasts is hard to comprehend until you're standing close to one. It would absolutely rip you to shreds in an instant. Hopefully that never happens to this family, but feels like they are playing with fire.

Look in the article if you haven't.

'He absolutely loves people and is a really sociable bear - despite what people might think, he is not aggressive at all. We have never been bitten by Stepan,' said his adoptive owner Svetlana

Sounds a lot like what pit bull owners say.

Exactly.

He was such a good dog until he ripped that little girls throat out.

Right, but it wouldn't be the first time a 'tame' wild animal ripped someone's throat out.

Certainly. Life isn't made up of woulda, coulda and shoulda.

And there's the difference from when those idiots get ate in the woods by the bears. This was an adopted bear that they had since it was a cub and which they keep fully fed at all times.

which they keep fully fed at all times.

Sounds like an expensive endeavour. That adult bear could easily eat as much as a 2nd family.

Spoiler: He's apparently got no teeth. Check the pictures. The vet probably neutered him, extracted teeth and possibly declawed him too.

Very cool pet though. I wouldn't want the food bill nor to put it through painful tooth and claw extraction. Thats really hard on a wild animal, the surgery and the aftermath. I suppose they had no choice in these precautions if they couldn't reintroduce it to the wild, decided to make it a part of their family - for the safety of the family.

I came here to say this. This bear has no teeth. Really fucked up.

has claws

I was looking pretty close and found it hard to be certain. Great if he still has them.

I wish man had domesticated bears.

If it's not fake, it should be.

This is intense.
