I suspect intentional considering the inconsistency in price cuts from "Reg" to "Sale" to "Promo" prices, but perhaps the number was selected as the result of other significant meaningful numbers: e.g. 1776 = 17.76 17.76 divided by 2 (for 2nd revolution?) is 8.88 8.88 + 6 from "January 6th" is 14.88
