He said Communism was basically a religion, and that it had ideas similar to those from Christianity, such as brotherhood and charity. He also said that Lenin was treated like a saint, entombed in a mausoleum. Nowhere does he directly link Christianity and Communism as one sourced or aligned with the other, and he doesn’t call Lenin a “saint.”
I think OP was linking the connection of the commentary to how the enemy are the ones who deceive, lie and pretend to be something they aren't.
What he said is open to interpretation, but the more you know how he really is the more obvious it is that he is pushing communism.

I knew he was ex KGB but never knew he was a jew. The confusion I had was the jews follow the old testament whereas Christians and Catholics lean toward following the new testament.
The old testament is the one with all of the gay murdering and violence so it makes sense if he is, I'm just surprised, because the new testament is not really affiliated with jews and it's the one likened to communism most likely.
