Was visiting Frontier Park in St. Charles, MO Friday, and they have a statue of Lewis & Clark there at the place where the expedition started. In addition to the statue, there were plaques and bronze busts for several of their team members - including Colter. I'd heard of him before, but wasn't real familiar with all he did. An interesting subject! He is buried near New Haven, MO some 30 miles upstream along the Missouri River.
