I started going to the Reno Air Races back when I moved to Nevada back in 2010 or so. I've always loved planes and just got a huge kick out of it. I went every year until I moved out of state but have even gone twice since moving. I already rented my room for the air races in Roswell, NM in September.

I dragged my boyfriend on a few hour drive out to Safford, AZ to see a little air show since I haven't been able to convince him to go with me to the air races. He really enjoyed it and I'm 80% sure he will go with me to Roswell next year.

It's great for families and if you have an air show near you, it's worth going. They are fun and there were no ghetto goings on.

I went to a few air force shows when I was a kid, it was ten times more awesome than a monster truck rally. I even got to sit in an A10 on a couple of occasions. There is nothing better than hearing a jet engine ripping through the sky.

There were fantastic Warbird shows in El Cajon, Ca. when I lived there. Got some signatures in books, and my young son got some artwork signed by WWII aces. Great times, airshows. IIRC, the plane is a B32 Dominator?

Honestly, I have no idea. I love planes and love watching them but I know very little about any of them and have memory issues, so trying to learn them would take flashcards lol.

I like the excitement of the actual races more than the aerobatics but it was really fun just to get to see them flying so close. I wanted my bf to see that it wasn't stressful and that there weren't ghetto people to worry about so he would worry less when I go on my own or maybe he will decide to go with me to the big one.

Agreed.. Airshows are alway a family favorite. We did a volunteer stint at Fort Pickens State Park, FL a few years ago. Part of our gig was crowd control for the Blue Angeles practice sessions out of Pensicola. We were able to see them a few times a month.
