There is no "mandatory" tipping culture as in America where I live, but I consider tipping as paying froward to have a good experience when (if) you come back next time.

If the black shows any sign of nigger mannerism they get hardly anything. And I put the top on my card so they have to claim it. You have to give them something in order to show the slight. If you don't give anything they think you just never tip anyone.

Non-whites get to start with $1 plus whatever change it takes to round up to a flat dollar amount. Whites generally earn $2 per person seated, but my drink better never run dry. If I can sense that you hold lib beliefs or something worse, you get knocked down to the non-white wage and it will likely go down from there. I don't tip based upon the total of the bill. If I am treated with sincerety, kindness and respect I tip well. I don't necessarily go by skin color or ethnicity: --in case you haven't noticed, there are some truly terrible and nasty white people out there who don't deserve a good tip.
