Yeah, the western part of the state is beautiful- the badlands are absolutely breathtaking.

But when the tourism board can't give you things to do for more than three days in a row you know you've found a slow area. If you're looking for peace and isolation, here it is. If you're looking for a vacation, take a book.

My uncle lives in one of those 100 people farming towns 100 miles outside of I think Minot or Butte and it's just flat and nothing. People in that town are in their own little world
