I just stopped breastfeeding a few days ago (cant do this diet while breastfeeding) and I have about three months before I concieve again (cant do this while pregnant). I have a goal of losing 15 pounds, that would put me back to 135, the weight I was before getting pregnant.

I started today. I ate a small breakfast and plan on doing the 36 hour fast. It is hard but I am sticking to it. I have never done anything like this before but I am desparate/motivated to lose this weight before getting pregnant again.

It is hard. I have already drunk a black coffee and am sipping on sparkling water now.

Any tips from experienced Poalrs?

Congrats on expanding your family! That's amazing.

Mind if I ask why you chose this specific diet?

I've done it before, and I can attest that it sucks to starve oneself like that.

Take a look at these:

This research has achieved greater weight loss at 6 and 12 months than any other trial that does not limit energy intake or mandate regular exercise. (ncbi.nlm.nih.gov)

These people were not limiting calories, or even exercising, and they still lost weight. They used a Whole Foods Plant-Based (WFPB) diet.

A low-carbohydrate diet based on animal sources was associated with higher all-cause mortality in both men and women, whereas a vegetable-based low-carbohydrate diet was associated with lower all-cause and cardiovascular disease mortality rates. (ncbi.nlm.nih.gov)

Thank you. I chose the fasting and keto diet because I feel like it is the only way I can lose weight in this small time frame. Plus calories IN and calories OUT makes sense to me; also believe it is more natural to have periods of fasting as we did not evolve to get food out of the fridge.
