Oh damn, I confused your question.
Can someone be DVed into unusability?
The limitation is because your account's level doesn't have enough points. The more you post and UV stuff, the better you score gets. I can't remember exactly how many, but we'll fix that in the next update.
Right. That's what I figured. And I went looking for how many and whatnot. Not a big deal to me really. But it's a question other will have. Those kind of rules have to be laid out so people know.
I don't really care. I'll just hit a wall and say, whatever. And I have a way of accumulating enough points that I never care about how many I have, it always enough to do as I wish.
Just looking for the rules.
The goal of this limitation is to incite people to upvote more than they downvote.
We believe that a downvote is not a "I disagree" button, but a spam/shitpost-troll one. We think replying by using a counter-argument backed with facts is more important than just downvoting something you disagree with.
Ok. That's fine as a philosophy. But I (and other to follow) am looking for a list of these rules. For example:
1- a new user will have 10 DVs per day until you accumulate X number of points.
2- a user who falls below 0 points will not be able to DV any other user
3- any user will not be able to DV MrPim under any circumstances unless they mail me weed.
These kind of rules. These create the system of UV and DV which create the entire voting system. This stuff also creates a part of the entire culture.
