Technically the only limitation on downvotes we got is that people can't downvote more than they upvote.
Posts/comments with large negative points are not hidden.
You can't be silenced with downvotes. Brigading doesn't work here.
Hence my question. These rules have to be laid out pretty clearly. Not just for users but for the logic of the coding. Vague rules won't work.
The reason Voats filter works is because the users have the power to DV someone into silence. If you're going to go in a different direction then you'll need to spell it out. Both for coding logic and for users to understand what is what.
That's what I went looking for.
You are totally right. There are many things we need to do, but communication over poal's behavior/changes is very important to us.
