Do you go? Have you ever served?
The cross section of people who actually show up for a jury selection is quite interesting.
It seems to me they are relying at least in my county on a couple hundred of the same people out of maybe 100k to actually fill juror's seats.
Anyone gotten busted for never going? Do you think it's a good system? Personally I get summons every year and always report, always claim hardship and always get dismissed.

This is why you are never selected goy. As the original poster stated above, the same 200 or so people are frequently selected in each county because they adhere to system. Even if you were selected, and managed to feign NPC long enough to slip past the close scrutiny of the prosecuting attorneys and judges. You would never be called back having cast a vote that conflicts with the pre-determined outcome. shmaltzy shmendrik
