Do you go? Have you ever served?
The cross section of people who actually show up for a jury selection is quite interesting.
It seems to me they are relying at least in my county on a couple hundred of the same people out of maybe 100k to actually fill juror's seats.
Anyone gotten busted for never going? Do you think it's a good system? Personally I get summons every year and always report, always claim hardship and always get dismissed.

Sitting around is what happened to me for three day. It was like study hall for adults.

I wasn't called for anything.

Honestly it wasn't a bad experience. Luckily I was able to bring work with me on my laptop so I didn't fall too far behind. It is an inconvenience. Sure your company may still pay you, as mine did, but it isn't like your work load goes away.
