This is the most correct and tolerable action, but in reality it is a catch 22 logical fallacy. We are all disadvantaged if someone already has their gun drawn, round chambered, finger on the trigger, and pointing it at people. If someone "gets the jump" on someone it is probably too late to respond, unfortunately. Sad it's like this.
