Not sure if I missed something, I see it mentioned Voat is on a watchlist (which of course it is, as is Poal), I don't see any direct evidence (even second hand) that Putt said he was turning over data to the government. Maybe he is, maybe he isn't, but I don't see him saying that anywhere.
Right now since there's a ddos attack I assumed it was because the attackers would use bots to spam.
If you get a subpoena, you have to comply unless you have money. From what I know about Voat, it does not have money. Therefore, Voat most likely acquiesced to the subpoenas. This of course assumes that there were any subpoenas to begin with.
I agree. He likely dont have a lawyer budget. Its still iffy to quash a subpoena from a glownigger even with one. It is a standard tactic to have a gag order or even an implied or direct threat not speak about or else. Thats the purpose of the canary. Its dead. Thats when I bailed
