You mean to create encryption algorithms? You have to be next-level smart for that sort of stuff - definitely beyond my skill set.

So we hire a few number theorists and check their back ground and their work as best as we can. My suggestion would be to start at Supersingular isogeny key exchange and add other post-quantum cryptographic algorithms for complexity.
