My favorite sci-fi prediction is H.G. Wells in From The Earth To The Moon where three astronauts launch from Florida. It was first published in 1865 over 100 years before it happened. The dude also predicted submarines and appears to have had a great grasp of possibilities and put pen to paper with his concepts cranking out great sci-fi for the 19th century. Pure genius.
