I got banned for downvoating a sock puppet account. Fuhrer1488 was the account that I dv'd for two days around a month ago.

Maybe it wasn't a sock puppet account but it sure as hell looked like one. Did it once to one account. Even if I could appeal and get unbanned I wouldn't go back now except to actually fuck with them.

You deserved to be banned then. What is a sock puppet account? If you are deceptive then you are not contributing to the overall goal of the subverse you are in. You are distorting the purpose:

Either a shitty algorithm or it was politically motivated (if I had to guess). Several folks looked at the account I "manipulated" and it looks normal to them, so who the fuck knows what is going on over there.

A lot of the accts banned did seem to be the ones calling out the so called "builders" for bullshit.

Unbadged blue checkmarks, accosting everyone openly in teams for 3-4 years, does not a good site make. Not banned myself, but I think the concept contributes.

What happens to a lot of people is they sort of sway with it like palm trees in the wind, doing nothing back for a while. Months or years later then may try to fight back, in kind, based on what they have seen others do, or go off on someone, or even just interreact with one of those characters, or someone already on the secret naughtily list, rightly or wrongly, and find themselves then on the wrong side of the ball. Either get heuristically or consciously on the bad list. It may only take once.

It just goes from there. Not all bad, just the level of concentration seems "off". You end up with possibly reasonable people cycling through and back out, at a higher rate than the people who discover they are allowed to get away with it.

Pretty much what you might think, or for some already think.
