Well, I've been banned too. No warning ahead just a message that I'm being banned for "vote manipulation".?

I don't understand why. I've been generous with upvotes to lots of people on Occidental Enclave and other places on Voat as well but I don't see that as manipulation.

It is very possible Putt thinks you are my alt. I notice on the ban log I am apparently banned for upvoting myself. Total bullshit but 'makes sense' if 'myself' is you as my alt upvoting me.

The no prior warning though makes this especially outrageous. The guy apparently doesn't know what he's doing.

He might think that. But a simple IP-check would reveal that we post from different sides of the globe.

Anyway, it's the first time that I've ever been banned from any forum. I guess it's useful to get new experiences.

He said in a post earlier that in doing all this he isn't checking IPs. I have almost no background in computer science and even I checked IPs. I mentioned in the PM response to the ban notification that it is not difficult to do such and divest himself of any misconceptions.

I suspect he may only be pulling the trigger though. The work to determine I'm a manipulator may be a result of shenanigans from a nutzi that has gotten close to him. I have one in mind in particular - though as I can't prove it I won't name names. He's not overly idiotic but he's still a Jew hater.
