I used basic shit, but then I stopped using shampoo 6 months ago. Can't tell any difference; I just use one of those spiky scalp combs every day.

I wish I could pull that off. I have super fine hair, and if I go even 1 day, my hair gets so oily that it looks like my hair is wet from a pool or shower

The biology (in theory) is that the shampoos are stripping the (necessary) oils anew every day and the "oh my gosh it's so oily the next day" is due to overproduction to make up for it. Cycle of needing to use the shampoo. Supposed to mellow out after two weeks of non-use.
