I think New York just got around to letting kids have lemonade stands. Not sure about anywhere else.
I got some chickens without the government's permission. Feeling good about that one. I think one of my neighbors might snitch though.

Yeah, it's a $50 annual cost for the permit, which you may get if all of your neighbors approve it, or fine for the first permit violation is $50.
Ridiculously, they also forbid butchering chickens. But guess what's gonna happen if the city tells me I'm not allowed to have them anymore?
The rules don't make any sense. They don't want people to live in real life. Can't keep chickens without a permit because they may be a nuisance, but meanwhile any joe bumblefuck can turn a dog loose in their yard and let it bark its head off all day long.
