Boy did you hit a pet peeve for me! It's the same here in Utah, if not worse, because every dang Mormon mommy seems to need to drive their kids to and from school. It gets to the point you look at the clock and if it's school time, an old geezer like me can say to himself 'self, I ain't going out on the road till their off the road'. Huge SUVs, many with one kid in the back, clog up every road around a school, and like you said, it's more important for them to be talking on the phone than paying attention. There outta be a law against it!
