This is the kind of stuff we should be talking about in Albuquerque. Suburban sprawl, which is perhaps the greatest flaw of modern urban design, directly disadvantages the working class by making it so that they have to commute longer times and distances to get to the commercial, industrial, and office hubs of town.

The solution is decentralization.

We need to mix residential, commercial, and light industrial areas. We should also change our labor laws to make time spent commuting count somewhat like time on the clock.

Never considered this before. I do see how this can be a problem (and know of many people who deal with this issue)
