Suburban sprawl, which is perhaps the greatest flaw of modern urban design, directly disadvantages the working class by making it so that they have to commute longer times and distances to get to the commercial, industrial, and office hubs of town.

The solution is decentralization.
We need to mix residential, commercial, and light industrial areas. We should also change our labor laws to make time spent commuting count somewhat like time on the clock.
