I do legit feel bad for Justin. He did helm the site through some shit. Got it ported to Linux, managed a few fund raiser drives. But at this point he's becoming the very force that will Doom that site. And the fact that the remaining user base won't see it is the scariest part of all

You forgot to mention he didn't do all of this by himself. He had a loyal user base (gone now) who have invested time and money to make voat what it was.

Would you publicly congratulate yourself in a post for supposedly writing a framework that was in fact the work of several other helping devs?

I felt bad for him after Atko left and he was flying solo. But he has had plenty of time to bring others onboard. He did do a good job with porting the site with the other coders and he is good at coding. But he should have had the sack to realize he was out of his depth regarding the finances and management side of it and gotten others involved.

There was a really great team on board back in the day. Guys who really knew the code. But one by one they got turned off and left.

I don't. He gave the site to people that destroyed it. Even now he laments how lame it is while enjoying getting his dick sucked by the 2 people (plus alts) that made it that way.

People don't like change; migrating is a chore. They don't feel the need; as long as he doesn't do something obscenely wrong, like charge a monthly subscription for the right to comment, or start serving Google AdWords, then voat will chug along. A slow decline, in to irrelevance.

My concern is the same here. I love the digs, minus a few things that piss me off, but I worry for long term. They still dont have a cash plan in place, and I dont see a long term plan for dealing with brigades, bots, and jews
