My wife and I were lucky, we met as children and pretty much grew up together. So we knew each other pretty well before we got married. Still a few things we didn't know here and there but for the most part we knew what to expect. Don't get me wrong we still had some troubles along the way and had to figure out that traditional marriage was the way to make things work for us but we figured it out eventually.
