People do grow skeptical of the left and make a conversion to the right despite demonization. If we are validating the left's narrative that skepticism is countered.

But I have a feeling you wouldn't argue that we need to change your beliefs in order to get more converts. Would you argue in favor of covering up our beliefs or watering them down to seem more appealing to potential converts?

I would not argue for lying about our values, but that doesn't mean we have to excuse or support clearly unhealthy people.
