Yeah I built that. The idea is none of the data needed to run the site is private. Even for my server the only data that would be problematic if leaked right now is the SSL key.
Working on performance improvements (server side vote counting/rendering) and authentication now.
I actually agree with what Voat said in his most recent announcement that being a clone is not enough of a differentiator to succeed; and that's why I focus on decentralization.
My hope is that notabug will eventually be successfull enough to subsume Voat, poal, phuks, raddle etc.... where each admin can put effort into running a site how they want with each community having the shared benefits of each others comments/discussion to the degree it is desirable.
Next release should make running a peer a lot easier as well and make way towards things like chat, and communities/moderation of a sort.
