Yknow what, I was nice and understanding last time, but this time I am fucking salty and ready to jump ship on Voat.
Despite what Putt says, I don't use Voat as a place to put stuff I can't put on Reddit. I'm IP shadowbanned from Reddit. I couldn't post there if I tried.
I use Voat for socializing, communicating, entertainment, news, and politics, not just to host anti-PC shit. When Voat was down, I was forced to browse Reddit for these things, and it is GOD AWFUL. 20 reposts of the same fucking thing ("haha look at the funny cat playing jenga!") or content that is explicitly hateful to my demographic (straight, white, Christian, conservative, biological males). It was terrible and every second I was there looking for something interesting I was thinking "Fuck that asshole Putt".
If he's too busy or too tired or too bored of Voat to maintain it, he should pass it off. PeaceSeeker has done great work, as has a lot of other people. Give them more power, increase admin roles, do SOMETHING other than offer the same half-hearted apology each time the site goes down. It's like Putt has leased a car and won't maintain it, why is he paying to host Voat if he doesn't check it every so often?
I'm ready to quit and take my content with me.

While it is possible some of Putts view has credibility, it doesn't apply to me. I never go to Eddit. Until Phuks and Poal, I simply had no other alternative. And I can say that Voat was not a very enjoyable experience most of the time. I left Jr High well over a half century ago and have no desire to visit that playground again, but there is/was a handful of subs that offered entertainment outside of the raging hormones of the majority. The one fault I will assent to is the fact Putt seems to be burnt-out (and I can understand that) but his absolute refusal to let anyone help. I feel it may be a case of narcissism and delusion of grandeur syndrome where one believes they are the only who can do a task correctly.
Since the last outage, it was getting even worse as the "moderates" I enjoyed seemed to have left. A few days ago even Peaceseeker nuked his account which I assumed to indicate there was little hope Voat would/will ever be the same. The only thing constant is change, so I'll just roll with the punches.

After the last 3 or 4 day downage I was pretty much done with Voat. This time. It is 100% clear Putt doesn't care anymore.
