I donated too. Have a shirt. Got a subverse transferred in January 2016 and all downhill.

Can't abide the excuse makers. A man makes time for things that are important to him; Voat is not.

I’m a spam janitor and worked with Cynabuns and a few other fellow voaters. I’ve donated $550 in total. Never got the donation badge (I didn’t really care much). Putt never replied to my PM.

I PMed Cyn and Putt to know what was going on. Not a single reply. :/

That's not right, for that kind of time and money, a simple reply is at least earned. I only talked to him last April during the call for funds, and when the card processor quit on voat. He just dropped off after a few discussions on getting merch made/sold for site funds.

I reached my limit a bit ago; just like all the admin-worship on reddit, voat has a cadre of putt-worshipers. Fuck off with that! My allegiance is finite and depends on how well the place is kept up.

I never donate to sites. My content is their donation. My free content that builds the user base (even in a very small way) and gives the site a reason for existing. I will not give money to sites because 1 of 1 things always happens, they fuck you. 4chan, Reddit, Digg, Twitch, Youtube, (Soon to be) Voat, Myspace, FB etc etc etc. They second they get funding, it's downhill.

I bought a voat ad that fortunately got me a little business, so that was nice. I'd be a bit peeved if got nothing for my money, which I'm guessing is how most of the ads went.
