You see lots of weird stuff in a Chinese gym, everything from deadlifts into leaning back as far as you can and looking at the wall behind you, to squats with the Smith machine.
But today took the cake. Someone took the elastic stretching bands, and placed them in the squat rack, so that it was tight against both sides, hooked on to where you would rack the bar - about stomach height. He then proceeded to lean against them, away from the squat rack and bounce slowly on them.
Before I judge too harshly, is there any real reason to do that? Or is it just an accident waiting to happen, when the band's slip off and you face plant on the floor?
I was thinking about taking a photo, but I pussied out.
