This kind of freaks me out, almost like they are using a natural disaster to take land.

Has no one ever seen trains throwing sparks from the tracks? No controlled burns, getting rid of dead trees, clearing the underbrush, etc., means plenty of tinder.
50% of the state is on fire. It's kind of hard to not hit the same areas.
It's still a strange coincidence that more than 80% of that 50% is accurate to the path of the rail system.
It's also known that corporations are using everything they can when blocked by "protected" lands and natural reserves.
