‘Twas a long time ago that the acronym “FTN” was birthed. No sailor knows its exact origin, but every sailor knows it’s meaning. On every single Navy ship you can find the letters “FTN” bitterly carved with pocketknife or screwdriver on bulkheads, written with sharpie on lockers, and even scrawled with fecal matter on bathroom stalls. FTN - Fuck The Navy.

Ah, but what about “807”, you ask? Good question little bears, good question...Well legend has it that on the USS Carl Vinson, a disgruntled sailor wrote in a bitch book his reasons for wanting to get out of the Navy. He wrote a different reason for every single day of his enlistment. 6 long years, that’s 2,190 reasons. And number 807 was “This place sucks.”

There you have it little bears, a bit of arcane Navy knowledge, now you know, and knowing is half the battle...

modern subs had continuous water from RO units, beeetch

No shit? I thought you guys were just a bunch of smelly hot-racking fags who had to take 2-minute showers...when did they put in the RO units? Retrofit or new class?

did you ever have to pull into port because the espresso machine at the starbucks' broke?

Fuckin’ eh, emergency repairs for sure. We wiped a main shaft bearing and didn’t pull into port, but when the espresso machine went down it was all hands on deck
