Because we have evolved to care more about the people we share the most genes with. It is a function of evolution. It is why all normal functional people prefer their own race over others. You virtue signal that all races are the same to you to accomodate the religious beliefs of many in our society. But you secretly prefer your own people because you are the product of evolution. People that dont prefer their own genes go extinct.
The government of Belize is probably a bunch of cleptocrats who like the money of wealthy foreign refugees. Belizans are now just maids and servants to foreigners. Instead of building a healthy quasi-self-sufficient economy. Colonizing belize is not good for Belizans’ culture, I promise you. Many belizans may accept this as an alternative to total poverty but they do not truly want you there.

That’s japanese genes that make them act that way. Minimalist decor and zen rock gardens and shit. Its genetic.

Belize is bolstering their economy by inviting those with remote jobs to come there and work. Fresh food on demand, plenty of sunlight to make power, water from the ocean through the watermaker. Many craftspersons available to fix anything I can't.
It kills you, does it not? You'll be paying power and water bills until you die when that stuff is free with the right setup.
Its nice that your family are financially secure but my point is you love them because you have genes in common with them. And if you lived near them you could help care for them as they age. I guess you think you can just throw money at that problem too but it isn’t the same as doing it yourself and your parents will suffer for it. Old people should not be living and dying alone. That is our broken culture.

It kills me that you believe your materialism isn’t deeply harmful. The annihilation of culture is the annihilation of a set of ground rules that allow societies to function as more than a set of individuals only in it for themselves in a zero sum game. That produces an ammoral free for all with low trust for everyone. Especially when powerful people are literally controlling the price of money.
You are colonizing belize, it’s clear you have no love of belize culture and you keep justifying it with “yeah but all my money” . You are effectively destroying what Belize is. Are you comfortable with that?
“I care for all people” is not a culture. A culture is a set of groundrules that a people decide to live by. You think the only rules that matter are the ones set by globalists or 3rd world cleptocrats.
People need culture. It is the antidote to tyranny. Colonization is not nice to do. If only money matters this world will become a hellscape as it quickly is.
