I'm wealthy, I won't have a job. My money and teachings may create some though. Ia m bringing my house. Prices won't increase just because I buy some food. You're thinking in US capitalism terms, that doesn't apply where I am going.
Just admit it, you'd like to do what I am doing, but you're stuck with a wife and expensive kids.
You keep talking about money. Its like you haven’t heard anything Ive said.
My money and teachings may create some though
Typical colonizer spiel. They’re so lucky to have you.
Prices won’t increase just because I buy ....
Wut.
Law of supply and demand? Hello? That’s exactly how prices increase. You and the other million colonists drive up the price of everything. Its cheap to you. Its not cheap to them.
Im thinking in economic terms. Economics applies everywhere.
Money is a means to an end, a tool, unless you have no culture. You are unapologetically materialistic. Im trying to convince you that is because you fundamentally misunderstand the nature of society. Im not saying that you dont respect belize culture. Im saying you have no concept of what culture is and how it helps to regulate all human societies. Belize is just a line on a map to you, something you can buy. That is not true to Belizans I promise you.
1 person buying food can't possibly cause prices to move.
I don't believe what you believe. Most of what you believe matters does not in my opinion. You are not speaking from a factual viewpoint.
I'll probably only be there a year anyway, I do plan to circumnavigate.
1 person taking a shit in the street isn’t a public health crisis
Its you and a 100,000 other people all taking a shit in the street. Why do you think youre actions dont have an impact?
This is not my opinion. Im telling you how culture works, how genetics works, how economics works, how evolution works. It isn’t opinion. Culture matters. Societies work best as relatively homogeneous genetic and cultural groups. Fucking with these causes social chaos. That is how corruption sets in. You do not play by the same set of rules as the Belizans.
Money can be a useful tool to make a society more efficient. But if the information it conveys about the value of goods and services is distorted it becomes an instrument of exploitation.
