A regulation baseball has a circumference of 9" to 9-1/4" (huh. I thought they would use something easy to check like Diameter, but I digress. ) That means a volume of 12.3 - 13.4 cubic inches.
I used 14lbs as an average bowing ball.
So the universal sportsball has a density of roughly 1.09 lbs/in3, or just over 30,000 KG/M3.
So... about 60% denser than tungsten, actually denser than any of the elements.
About the same as the sun's core (33,000 KG/M3)
