Telegram looks cool. Its seems like the posts are a mix of Twitter and Facebook that are harder to take down for some reason?
Telegram still has stuff backed up somewhere so you can get your messages from any device you sign into.
But it's also saved on your phone and at it's core is a messaging app. So to take telegram down would be like taking all text messaging down.
It's also open source. So if anyone trys to take it down someone else can take all the code and post it under a different name.
Is telegram suspect because it wants a phone number? Or is that just not a big deal for some reason?
Phone numbers are easy to fake. Just look at you spam calls.
So if privacy is extremely important you can use a throw away number.
