No permit needed to buy any semi-auto. Just a quick instant background check that the FBI totally doesn't keep records of (wink wink). Or you can skip all that and buy from a friend. No paperwork required (except a bill of sale for safety, but that isn't strictly speaking required)
I did sell quite a few guns in the past. Kinda worried about them because I have no clue where any of the receipts are now. During my alcoholic days I kinda sorta lost total control of my life and nobody was at the wheel. One of my friends had to produce a receipt from years ago because a gun he sold was used to shoot at a cop. Next gun I ever sell will be done at a dealers shop. I don't know how many guns the Sheriff's department thinks I have right now. Good ol' 2A will run all the rope out for us to hang ourselves we aren't careful.

Some people don't learn till they hit that rock bottom. I was one of those people. Sober life is better than anything booze can give me.
Life still sucks sometimes but I have the ability now to handle it. No need to run away from things and numb the brain with poison. You slowly begin to enjoy the little pleasures in life again. The highs may not be as high but the lows are a whole shitload less low.
No more shame, regret, pain physically and mentally. No more apologies and blown money on shit you have no memory of. No more being afraid to check your text messages in the morning, lol. God I hated that. Booze will lead you straight to the gates of hell if you let it.
