If I recall correctly, Nitrogen, a linear symmetric diatomic molecule, has no allowed vibrational modes that adsorb in the IR, so it has no effect on radiative cooling of earth
Exactly. Our lungs utilize ZERO percent of nitrogen. 78% is inhaled; 78% is exhaled. Contrary to this, CO2 in the atmosphere is only 0.0394% to which we inhale. Exhale has 4% CO2. That's over a 100 times increase. In the grand scheme of things, our collective exhale wouldn't ever come close to increasing atmospheric levels of CO2. Atmospheric CO2 levels are basically unchangeable. The entire globe is based on many, many factors that keep this level in check.
