They wanted to see what they’d get if they blatantly stole the presidential election on November 3, and then the Senate using the exact same tactics on January 5, the day before a major rally. They wanted to know what would happen if they put a bunch of MAGA types in a heightened emotional state after all of this blatant fraud, and how they would respond. They bused in agent provocateurs and coordinated with police and security to give them certain access. They had practiced before with the photo op of the “lockdown protestors” who “stormed” one of the state legislatures last year. There was no losing proposition for them. They were in control the whole time. Nothing happens in their temples without their permission, at least for now. If the Trump supporters rioted, they could plaster it everywhere and use it in propaganda forever. If the Trump supporters didn’t riot, they’d simply have their agent provocateurs do it for them. They opened the doors of the Capitol building and ushered the “protestors” inside. The building had already been cleared and prepped. The folks who made it inside had already been vetted. Does anybody remember what happened during the early post 9/11 era when members of Congress received packages of ricin? They quarantined and locked down the premises for at least a day. So on January 6, 2021 a group of “angry Trump protestors” “storms” a building, allegedly bypassing any security checkpoints, meaning they weren’t numbered and the contents of whatever they were carrying weren’t certified. That same evening Congress, among the greatest cowards in all of the US, the people with the lowest approval ratings at all times, and who look for any excuse to skip work, happily reconvene for a symbolic and historic session where they can “do the will of the people” and certify a fraudulent election. The test had many layers. They needed to see how the Trump supporters would react. They needed to see how the average American would respond. They needed to see if their narrative would be accepted. They needed to see how gullible everyone is. They needed to know how far they can take the next steps. I don’t know what yesterday meant for them in terms of what they will do next. I just know, deep in my gut, that it was an experiment. They’ve gathered the data and have started into the next phase, whatever that might be. Addendum: I have said it before, but protests accomplish nothing. It wasn’t the MLK DC March that made a difference; it was complicit partners in the government as well as the repeated threats and acts of violence by the militant arm of his movement. It wasn’t the candlelight vigils of BLM that resulted in their voices being heard. It wasn’t the Boston Tea Party that turned the tide in the American War for Independence. Edit: One more thing. I recall many, and even myself, saying on Election Night and for the next several days, “Well, at least Biden doesn’t control the Senate.” They delayed the impact and therefore the full breadth of the damage done by having the Senate be lost a full two months later. On paper, officially now, they have it all - the House, the Senate, and unofficially the SCOTUS. Welcome to hell.
