Here is how it works. CEO's, people in gov and that includes almost all of them know what the people in America will and will not put up with. They know how far they can push before someone says enough and when 1 million say enough. It's their job to know. They also know how best to go the other way. They have to. We know just about everyone with power over people eventually abuse that power. When the people are being pushed from every direction from large corps and the government and one pushes too hard, it will backfire. Perhaps this is by design. Get the ones out a few at a time. Push just enough to make someone do something and not everyone. Anyways, even with them pushing as hard as they all are, it is still preferred to war with most people. No one will do anything because the change is happening slowly. Eventually, one will crush the other and I doubt the people will win. CEO's and gov only go in one direction. Pepe is the perfect mascot. Boil him slowly and he will die. Maybe we see it or maybe our grandkids. EDIT: I think there was something in my cookies.
