Ironically, most wars won were defensive wars historically.. Think russian winters, or even our own independence.

No, they were aggressively waged for defensive reasons. We attacked the British positions and resources to drive them out. We did not just defend ourselves when they moved to take something we did not want to give up. A war in which you do not attack your enemy cannot be won.

So if those arnt considered defensive by you, then i can see why you think every war waged was offensive. Offense/defeense dont have much to do with aggression... But what youre doing is what i call manipulation. How could russia defend itself the way it did defensively if they listened to you and just went out to start it?
