At this point I'm willing to test Heinlein's theory of limiting the franchise to just veterans. It can't be worse than what we have now.
They would just put rightwingers in the high loss divisions, so the government goes progressively left.
And then its a leftwing military junta that runs society.
Which is probably the direction things are going anyway, but I digress.
Seems a pretty rapid descent into failure with today's left. You kill off the fighting force - people fighting for a future for their families (straight, family-centric, future-oriented people) and all that's left is a group of wanton hedonists that seek only pleasures of the flesh and self-indulgence and consequently have no care for a future beyond their own hedonistic lifespan.
And of course they'd never put themselves in harm's way, because they could die, and that would limit the amount of pleasure they might experience. So they surrender, but the invading force has no need for that wasted filth so they're summarily executed anyway.
Cops and soldiers are the faggots making the shit show dreams of politicians a reality.
