IQ doesn't just appear overnight. Nordics always had a higher IQ, for thousands of years. Neanderthals were also higher IQ than humans. They were less social, that's why they fell.
Don't forget the Gauls sacked Rome. Europe was only 'less well developed' based on the Roman's account. It was a great forest at the time, so people lived in smaller groups.

No, it doesn't happen overnight, but it doesn't take eons either. At present, the IQ of white people is decreasing by 0.4 IQ points every 10 years. Add to that the effect of low-IQ immigration and you'll only need a few generations to decimate highly productive countries.

Compared to niggers and desert nomads? Yes. Compared to the Greeks and Romans? Most probably not. The evidence for this is overwhelming. Number of prominent intellectuals, literature, discoveries, rate of invention, the sophistication of the language (with the exception of German), architecture, food, literally everything. Some studies put the average IQ of the Athenians during their golden age at 120. The thing is that the Nordic countries continued to improve up until the Industrial Revolution leaving the Mediterranean countries behind.

... and what do you mean by "human"? Australian aborigines have IQ's of 60's, Singaporeans 108... Nobody tested the IQ of the Neanderthals or the Homo sapiens, but the former obviously had worse weapons and strategies than the latter. When you are a lot smarter than your rivals, you tend to prevail. I don't buy the social explanation. Both groups were hunters and gatherers.

Education and being born into a more advanced society will endow you with superior IQ, but it won't change your potential. This is what's linked to skin color, which was your original point.
And I don't buy that higher IQ always wins the war. Britain destroyed China right? There will be countless other examples of genocide by better equiped or larger groups of inferiors. Boscop man!?

Yes it has, and has been since the early 1900s. IQ testing wasn't around back then, but the ASVAB's predecessor was, and it is how we know e.g. that black people's intelligence is decreasing as well.
They adjust the IQ scales every few years so that the 'average' score remains 100, they call this renormalization.

Potential is by definition unknowable - it is a made up estimate of what one 'could do', and has many analogues to similarly useless estimates used in the finance world, in measuring revenue of a country, etc. There is a long history of philosophy here that actually dates back to the first IQ tests, which were the first attempts to judge someone's 'potential'.
Many argued that IQ testing was folly, for just this reason, which is why nobody took it seriously until recently.

Education was not compulsory back then and only few could read. Nutrition probably played a more prominent role since the Nordics only had rotten fish to eat. For the record, nowadays the effect of education and nutrition on IQ are maxed out everywhere. So going to a better school or eating organic doesn't make you any smarter.

That's actually a good point but you choose a bad example. Britain was at its cognitive peak during the industrial revolution. Up until that point there was a strong, brutal selection pressure in favor of the richer (and smarter). Back then, the Brits were much more intelligent than the malnourished Chinks. A better example would have been the Islamic expansion. Very low-IQ savages took over Byzantine. I don't think that applies to the Neanderthals though, because those groups were much more primitive and animalistic. A little advantage in intelligence would have made a huge difference.
