What most people don't realize is that Nazi propaganda arose to counter the propaganda of the communists. The Nazis were merely fighting back with the truth, against massive communist lies. When Goebbels wrote of the "Big Lie" he was writing about a tactic used by the communists, which the Nazis would not use because it was dishonest.
