I look for products on the big sites and then mostly buy from either smaller distributors or the manufacturers themselves. Pro tip: Doing this saves a bunch of money in sales taxes.

I've been doing that as well. Use Amazon as a quasi search engine for things i need or want, then go directly to the manufacturers website. Unfortunately it's never cheaper, and in many cases more expensive.
