The police men form a ring around the rich guy. I suppose that means the police protect him. The Military forms a ring around citizens. You and me. Wouldn't that mean they protect the citizen? Is that supposed to be bad? Well, I suppose the author intends to either to show that we are the rich assholes to the indians, chinese etc. Or that our military invades them for oil, as I can see an oil pump. Frankly, I don't give a shit if our military oppresses other people for my benefit. Whether that is to extract crucial resources or protect me from them. Unfortunately, that's not the world we live in. We let them in our country and become part of our culture (in the process, changing it forever). Imagine if our ancestors had this worldview. "hurr durr, they only oppress the aztec because they want their aztec gold. I want to live in a world where any aztec could receive citizenship and be the babysitter for my child." - No thanks.
