Here's a thought.... suppose a plane was dispatched at the scheduled time to pick up a VIP skiing in Colorado. Further, suppose the skiing was soooo good, the VIP (or his family) decided they wanted to ski one more day....

So, scheduled plane has to return, whence it came from, only without the assigned VIP....

So, no call letter change.

So... if there's no VP if / when Electoral votes have to be counted, what happens? All I have found is that Speaker of the House takes over, but all those caveats are if the President AND the VP aren't able to lead.
