There’s a pack of them across the street from me along the riverbank, and they howl every evening and every morning. I chased one with the mini14 four days ago. Couldn’t get a bead on him at 100 yards with the peep sights in the fog, but he zigzagged a few times. I need to get the scope mounted and dialed in for the kill. Yes, I know, “mini14”....whatever. I have other choices, but this one is my favorite. I’ll post kill picks when I get him/them.

One was yipping on the riverbank during the middle of the day, may have been trying to lure my male dogs away. I went and got my .308 to put a nice hole in it, but it moved as soon as I started to line up my shot.

My dogs usually listen well and stay close but the coyotes have been seen up by our houses though so I worry about my cats the most.

They are always moving around and lately haven't been very close.
