There's a humorous anime called Memories. It's 3 or 4 short stories. One is about a mobile cannon city or some shit. Half their population makes shells, the other half shoots them all day. no one is really sure who their enemy is or where they are or if they even exist. Worth a watch if you're bored sometime.

You also see it in other areas that leave a bad taste in your mouth. I recently got my citizenship but when I showed up for the interview part my case worker was a fat mexican woman. I told her I was excited they called me in for the interview because it looked like I'd be able to actually get it wrapped up in time for me to vote in this election. She looked me up and down... A strait white male, clean shaven, wearing a tie and slacks. She was super excited when she found some excuse to reject my application forcing a reschedule at a later date. Still got it in time to vote, made voting for Trump feel that much better. I knew what was up when I asked for her supervisor and she refused. But it's a federal building during COVID so I didn't press it but it's sad as fuck to see people stoop so low.
