I don't think it's fair to the people of Nazi Germany to compare them to mask wearers. They had real problems they were trying to solve. And they had the virtue of being interested enough in their own survival to challenge a status quo.

Trump wasn't as useful as we'd hoped he'd be. That said he was finally someone not of the satanic establishment -- that's clear from the lengths both republicans and democrats went to to try to discredit and neutralize him. The rallying around him also built up an America First movement within conservativism, which will outlast him and probably end up being more important. He also impressed some important ideas on the American public such as the fact that we are being taken advantage of by other countries in trade deals and the fact that we are losing our country to unchecked immigration.
